Most important part of the story:

“According to the Sacramento Bee about 9,700 Afghan people live in Sacramento County, more than any other county in the U.S.”

Why?

They’ll convert San Francisco to “Kabul on the Bay”.

Thanks for that. Just adds credence to my suspicion of bullshyte MSM headlines

My own guess:

24 Child brides and their handlers/relatives, sent to Afghanistan to be auctioned off for USA green-card and chain-migration purposes.

Doubt me? Well America has a sitting Somali Muslim Congresswoman who married her own brother for Immigration and Welfare fraud, so as Lily Tomlin said - no matter how cynical I become, I can't keep up

The press worrying about how many Afghans we can bring into our country pisses me off second only to the troops that got killed. They bring all these people into one community. They don’t assimilate, they create their own little societies. That is not good for our country.

Sacramento Co is probably one of the most diversified communities in the country. The cost of living is lower than SoCal and closer proximity to social services/government/benefits than living in the central valley. Asians have always been there. Then refugees from Vietnam and Cambodia (Rancho Cordova used to be nicknamed little Cambodia). A lot of the early Vietnam era refugees worked on one of the three active bases now closed. Then the Russians, then the Pakis, (a lot of them up by Marysville) now Afghanis and Iranians with a smatter of Indians and Islanders.

The middle-easterners and east asians tend to want to run for offices and hold positions of local power rather than just get a job, settle into their new country, and have a quiet life like the V’s and C’s did. They’re not content to be in America with American customs - they’d rather drag their new country down with public criticism and try to impose the same ideals that worked so well in their home countries they fled. Many are caste-conscious. And they want to be in the good caste. So they’re drawn to the state capitol and state agency jobs, whereas in Socal, which is about 70& messican, they’d have no chance of winning their rigged elections and race-based crony hiring tactics meant to keep power with the messicans.
