Will there be an exception for all the Afghan fighters that are being imported into our country? Asking for a friend.

Wolf resells some Serbian ammo made by Privi Partizan. I don’t think there is any steel case coming from Serbia.

Wayne07 informs me that that plant was destroyed. At one time, Wolf made .22 ammo in Germany. I’m not sure what other assets they have. Pretty sure Serbia manufactures steel case 7.62x39.

Romania, Bulgaria, and Bosnia also manufacture 7.62x39. Not sure what Turkey does. I know they were making 7.62 NATO. I found an article from 7 years ago that said Russian 7.62 and 5.45 were going to disappear.

I suspect the market will do what it takes to meet demand. Cost is the question.

Maybe the Czech Republic will step up brass cased ammo production If the price point gets high enough. reloading may become more a more viable option. With the already stressed components market, who knows?

"Cost is the question."

Yup! Eastern Europe can pick up some of the slack on brass ammo, but the super cheap, mass produced steel that makes shooting 7.62x39 a joy is really dependent on Russia supply. You'll be able to get ~$.60 cpr brass x39, but Biden killed and chance we'd get back to the $.20 cpr days.

Precisely, they’ll simply shift manufacturing around or even print the boxes to misrepresent Russian manufactured ammunition as made elsewhere.
