If true it makes total sense, sadly. State, Intel and DOD are seething at being made to look the fools they truly are. Only, an inexperienced totally naive asshat would not be making a show of force right now. Bomb the living hell out of the Taliban in North and either level Bagram or send in SpecOps and retake the airfield. Use a drone to blow up their leaders car as a warning about surgical strikes on Taliban leadership if one foreigner or Christian is attacked. Personally I do not think Taliban leadership has that much control over their people to fully stop attacks.

Immediately freeze all Paki assists in USA and get allies to announce the same along with an embargo on Pakistan. Then tell Paki’s to bring Taliban in line or it all becomes permanent. EU will only go along if USA leads the way.
