Correct me if I’m wrong, but you don’t have to be a member of Congress to be Speaker do you? I’ve heard that and I stand corrected.

The Constitution is silent on that. So it’s generally accepted that the House can pick whomever they want, member or not.

the speaker of the house has no time to be anywhere near DC. Second, I miss anyone of color in the chairs. So, she is a phony anytime she mentions equal rights.
