God promises us that righteousness exalts a nation and sin makes a nation a reproach before the people and, by implication, before Him as well. In Deuteronomy 28, we have an example of this. God promises to bless Israel if they followed His commands (see verses 1-14). Then, in subsequent verses, God warned that He would curse them if they did not obey His commands:
But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you... Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and on your descendants forever. Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything." (vv. 15, 45-47)
To understand how desperate America is, let's look at some of the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28, between verses 15 and 45.
Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you fro the land which you are going to possess...
The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart...
As are we who did nothing with our freedoms to change its course.
Want to end Covid? Let only half of the people to pray that the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob deliver us from this plague, or “judgement”, and I believe it would go away. Of course, Messiah WILL come, and soon..I believe that Covid is a plague just as real as the plagues of Egypt, just before the Exodus from that “world”.

Our nation is definitely on the wrong path. Don’t forget the story of King Josiah. God postponed the fall of Judah until he passed. There are still a lot of faithful, God fearing people in this nation. He will not abandon them. There is a chance he will postpone the destruction of America, or limit the breadth of it to protect his people. Only He knows.
Have to disagree with you. I believe Prez Trump has the hand of God on him and we are being tested and punished as a nation at the same time.
