Senate Democrats are planning to investigate the Biden administration’s “flawed” American withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The Senate Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committees — both chaired by Democrats — are planning to investigate the catastrophic withdrawal that resulted in roughly 10,000 American citizens and nearly 40,000 other allies left stranded in Afghanistan as the Talib take over the country, Axios reported.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) are vowing to investigate the crisis.
“As the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I hope to work with the other committees of jurisdiction to ask tough but necessary questions about why we weren’t better prepared for a worst-case scenario involving such a swift and total collapse of the Afghan government and security forces. We owe those answers to the American people and to all those who served and sacrificed so much,” Warner said in his statement.
“I am disappointed that the Biden administration clearly did not accurately assess the implications of a rapid U.S. withdrawal. We are now witnessing the horrifying results of many years o policy and intelligence failures,” Menendez said in his own statement.
“The American and Afghan people clearly have not been told the truth,” he added.
New: Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Menendez (D-N.J.) says he’ll “seek a full accounting” of the Biden admin’s “flawed execution of the U.S. withdrawal.”
That makes *three* Dem-led Senate committees vowing oversight of how the Biden team bungled the withdrawal.

Since the Taliban began its takeover of Afghanistan, there has been a chorus of people attacking Joe Biden and his administration.
Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott suggested using the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from the presidency.
“After the disastrous events in Afghanistan, we must confront a serious question: Is Joe Biden capable of discharging the duties of his office or has time come to exercise the provisions of the 25th Amendment?” he said.

He said that after he said, “Inflation is raging. The debt ceiling expired & U.S. debt is headed to $45 TRILLION. Kabul is falling to the Taliban & encounters in the #BidenBorderCrisis just hit a 20 YEAR HIGH. Democrats control the House, Senate & @WhiteHouse. What in the world is Joe Biden doing?”

Former White House physician and current Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson added his take.
“Remember when I said it was time to consider the 25th Amendment and the LIARS in the liberal press ATTACKED me? I wonder what they think now after Biden is very OBVIOUSLY mentally incapable of leading during a crisis. Something MUST be done!” he said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has slammed Biden for his handling of the withdrawal of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, which have descended into chaos over the weekend as Taliban forces seized much of the country.
McCarthy is now calling for investigations into Biden’s handling of the crisis.
Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she is drafting Articles of Impeachment against Biden as the debacle on his Afghanistan withdrawal of troops continues.
Kamala Harris is reportedly refusing to accept any responsibility.
A source reportedly said that Harris refused to be part of addressing the American people on Sunday after the terrorist group took over Kubal, the capital of Afghanistan.
A source said Harris screamed: “They will not pin this sh*t on me!”
Libtard Senate going to have a hearing.

Yeah, right.
More like to try to create a show to downplay it.
Why not wait a few weeks, there will be a lot more to discuss.
They probably want to give Biteme a participation trophy.
Trumps fault.
Great! Sen. Menendez and Warner leading an investigation into the Afghanistan debacle.
It’s more like it will be led by a “sexual predator” and “Sleepy from Snow White”.
It is like having Ted Bundy and Bozo the Clown investigating serial killers and freaks at a circus.
The intelligence community is too busy spying on patriotic Americans to follow the doings of the Taliban.
No wronging? Heck, they’ll conclude he’s deserving of a parade and ice cream.
It’s all political theater.
Just damage control and will accomplish nothing beyond the virtue signaling it is.
Likely a precursor to another set of Trump impeachment charges.
Whitewash or preparation for invocation of the 25th Amendment?
The plan is to toss gropey Joe out, have heels up select cankles for veep, and then heels up will be told to step down.
It's why all teh gey globalist world leaders are call her instead of slo' Joe.
Laughable.
Does this include the 19 dems posing as republicans who voted to destroy our beloved country?
I, and many others, will NEVER forget their betrayal.
NEVER.
not bungled .... planned ...
unless you’re a coincidence theorist
