There is another thread, as breaking news that British Para Troops Are Running Vehicle Patrols Through Center of Kabul to Extract Trapped UK Citizens.

So what is wrong with that? Should we be concerned that there are those in DC who don’t want some Americans rescued because of what they know?

Why can’t we have attack helicopters, or 130 gunships in the air covering and escorting transport trucks picking our people up? First Taliban attack, and they are dead, I think they would get the message.

Attack helicopters and AC130s flying out of where? Biden shut down the last US Airbase in Afghanistan. The combat range of a Blackhawk is about 370 miles. It is 600 miles from Kabul, most of it mountains, to the Indian Ocean. Afghanistan borders Iran, Pakistan, China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Which of them, now, is going to allow the US to fly combat missions through their airspace, much less operate out of their airfields?
