I wish this weren’t so, but I honestly don’t have a whole lot of sympathy for Afghans who are caught in a precarious situation over there after being abandoned by the U.S. government. I’m an American and I know damn well that I wouldn’t trust my government in a million years to look out for MY health and safety. I can’t imagine what would ever motivate me to trust a FOREIGN government to do the same under any circumstances.
