COVID is a bad flu season turned into a totalitarian political weapon - nothing more.
If you’re not over 80 and you’re not in really poor health you have nothing to worry about.
Yup.
So, I get this call from a friend a couple of hours ago. She is normally a level-headed person about most things.
Last November, her ex caught Covid, supposedly, while in the hospital for other things. She was exposed and had to quarantine. I brought her a care package. She never got much more than a mild cold.
A few months ago, church friends, a family, got Covid, supposedly, or at least tested positive. They got chills, fever, cough. One died, but he had holes in his lungs. Kind of sounds like TB to me.
This was a family that was suspicious of the vax and Covid in general.
The mother and daughter go to church this Sunday and felt kind of off, congested, sneezy, slight headache, running nose. Daughter, who is 300 pounds, feels slightly short of breath. They go to doctor today and test positive for Covid. Doctor says many people are getting Covid twice.
Mother reams out pastor for not enforcing masks and social distancing. Mind you, they went to church when not feeling great, although having no fever and not feeling nearly as bad as they did months ago.
(If you ask me, they have hay fever and hysteria.)
So my friend is afraid she has been exposed. She is supposed to help her ex move this weekend. He is in generally poor health due to years of being 300 pounds.
So I calm her down by telling her to use a lot of the stuff- elderberry, bone broth, etc.— I got her last year and the horse paste we bought, go to bed, and not worry because her friends probably have hay fever and false positive results.
“But, but, but,” she says, “my friend’s daughter was short of breath and that’s a symptom of Covid and not hay fever.”
“Yeah, well,” I tell her, “several years ago I felt congested, headachy, and short of breath and went to the doctor because I thought I had something.”
“What did I have? Bad hay fever.”
As I type this, I feel like I did when I went to the doctor that time. It’s hay fever, or an allergy to something that’s out now. It’s been really rainy the last two weeks, like it was that time a few years ago when I was told I had bad hay fever. It was the same time of year.
People are working themselves into quite the hysteria.
Oh, and these friends of hers are going to get the vax.
But at least the regular flu is gone. /s
It pisses my leftist COVIDiot brother off when I use Obama's 60th Birthday Dance video against him and tell him “Be brave like your hero Obama! Obama don't need no mask.” Then if they Cymarron that for a while I say “Sorry, just kidding. I should've been more logical and told you that Obama having a huge birthday bash with no masks points out how hypocritical the left is and how useless masks really are.”
I just banned him from calling me or texting me for two weeks because he really pissed me off with his incessant COVID texts. I told him if he sent me anything about COVID again I would ban him and I stuck to it. I will admit though that before I did that I sent him about 20 text debunking COVID and and then I ask him what it feels to be harassed and then I told him Inwas blocking him. he's a decent guy but health issues have turned him into a hypochondriac and and he went to Stanford for his undergraduate and lives in Menlo Park so he has been assimilated by the Borgommunists.

The only mistake is that the masks DON’T work anyway...
Wishing both you and your son quick and uncomplicated recoveries. Once you are fully recovered you’ll fortunately have developed natural immunity.
Of course I don’t know your specific circumstances but monoclonal antibody treatment MAY be a possibility even for your son. The following is for Minnesota but it’s probably based upon national criteria.

I am curious, if Delta is more contagious, does it live on surfaces longer?
I have not seen anything published about how long it does or does not live on surfaces?
