Uh no, even if both populations are fully vaxxed, the elderly and chronically ill have statistically lower rates of vaccine effectiveness because their immune systems are old and sick as well.
There is no equivalence to be made between the two very different demographics.
Doesn’t mean we should universally lockdown, close schools and wear masks. It means we should take rational steps based on rational risk assessment at the individual level.
