Best band of the '70's
Where should I begin with them (album not drugs).
Link Wray enjoyed them and went more blues rock in the early 70s on Polydor.

A band I was in opened for Molly Hatchet about 15 years ago in Florida. They seemed appreciative of our set. Still like to YouTube a lot of this stuff.
I think when you consider how many musicians they influenced, you’ve got to put the ABB at the top.
Not true. Betts wrote their biggest hits.
Me too.

“Whipping Post” - one of my all time top 3 Rock and/or Roll songs
A bros bump
Certainly “one of” the best bands of the 1970s.
(personally, I’m partially to Johnny Winter)
Saw them when they were still playing small venues like clubs.
Duane was a guitar master.
Dreams is a masterwork.
You beat me to this. I donāt normally like covers but the Molly Hatchet version is so good I can barely listen to this one now.
Allman Brothers made the top ten with Bett's Ramblin Man but it was no Dreams.
Yes! My favorite song.
āRamblin Man?

Gregg said Ramblin Man which Dickie wrote is a very good country song.
When you listen to the vinyl Fillmore East and I think the CD you hear between songs Duane giving credit to the songwriters. Elmore James, Dickie, etc.
They showed their appreciation by kicking him out years later.
Iām not sure about what happened there.
I know Duane had a high regard for Dickey. And Dickey adored Duane
Nice. Thx. I may have to start bidding
Dickie claims it was after he asked for an audit of their books.
Well, their music was great so...
