It wasn’t exactly the trial scene between Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men, but it was pretty dramatic stuff.
Sen. Rand Paul has been taking repeated shots at Fauci over the funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and specifically the gain-of-function research it performed using bat coronaviruses. In a May appearance before a Senate committee, Fauci denied that NIAID, the National Institutes of Health agency Fauci leads, had funded gain-of-function research.
That was a highly questionable contention. Technically you could perhaps make it seeing as though the funding of the Wuhan lab came from Dr. Peter Daszak, who was the head of something called the EcoHealth Alliance, as a “sub-grant” from NIAID, but Fauci knew what Daszak was doing and so did everybody else. To say that EcoHealth funded the research and not NIAID is a lie and a dodge.
Initially, it appeared that was what Fauci was trying to do. But he changed his tune when people caught on, and his contention is now that what was funded wasn’t gain-of-function research.
And that’s what Paul hit him on this week....

Rand Paul nailed Fauci to the wall.
The esteemed doctor’s manufactured outrage was a theatre of the absurd.
Fauci should been perp-walked to jail by now, with charges ranging from lying under oath to giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Of course, those responsible (the DOJ) for charging Fauci are guilty doing the same thing.
Fauxi is a dissembling scumbag. He can probably “technically speaking” say without perjury that his agency did not fund gain of function research. These guys have learned over time to make arms length, plausibly deniable transactions. So Fauxi directed the money to some 3rd party NGO, which then sent the money on to fund the Wuhan Lab.
The questions have to be put to him directly: Did you have knowledge of GoF research in the Chinese Lab? Did your agency fund any 3rd parties that funded such research? Give us all the documents in 7 days.

The little chimp makes Dr Mengele look like a grade school drop out.
Paul had him shook up real good.
Just one of many absurd acts and absurd booths and absurd barber-shop quartets and absurd jugglers and absurd balloon-folding acts that have taken over pretty much the entire MSM these days.
Wow. I didn’t see that before. Impressive. He needs some steel balls to roll around in his hand in front of a jury.
Here is a scary thought. Maybe our own government, at least in part, were responsible for the pandemic.
I think this is exactly the case, unfortunately.
