“THE DOGS CAN DETECT THE COVID ODOR ON A COUNTER OR TABLE IF IT WAS RECENTLY TOUCHED BY A COVID-POSITIVE INDIVIDUAL, OR EVEN DETECT THE ODOR ON A TISSUE USED BY SOMEONE WITH COVID,” DOUGLAS SAID.

Calling B.S. on the ability of a dog to detect viral particles smaller than a wavelength of light.

According to the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, Huntah and Duke will be used to detect the virus in schools, town buildings, nursing homes and medical facilities. Captain Paul Douglas sees these two new additions to the K-9 unit as a “decontamination tool” to keep these spaces safe against the virus.

Probably not detecting the viral particles directly. Rather some chemical change occuring as a result of infection. Interesting to see if the dogs can differentiate between covid and influenza, etc. I believe they can be trained to detect some types of cancer and not others.

The dogs don’t detect the virus itself they detect the discrete metabolic secretions that humans produce when infected. Particularly mucous and saliva metaboids those are shed constantly by a human and fall to the surfaces near by or that are touched by a human. Ever wonder how blood hounds track escaped prisoners through the open air woods with pin point accuracy? This is how, the hound group of dogs have noses 100,000 times more sensitive than humans and can follow the scent trail of a human hours after that individual out of 8 billion other humans have passed by. That’s how good dogs noses are. This scientist took that ability and isolated the scent metabolic compounds of COVID infected people then trains the dogs superhuman nose to find specifically those compounds which yes would be all over the surfaces near an infected human or that they touched with bare hands. Your hands are constantly secreting oils, sweat and dropping dead skin cells on everything you touch everywhere all the time. A single skin cells is enough now for forensics to pull DNA from btw.

This method is not unsurprisingly more accurate than PCR since only a truly infected person would be shedding the metabolic secretions there would be no false positives only false negatives of the person is not shedding large amounts of the metabolics. As a society it makes perfect sense to isolate those who are infectious and actively shedding virus symptomatic or not. Society also has the absolute right of quarantine for infectious diseases this method makes finding and isolating those virus vector spreaders quick, effective and accurate. Its win win win for stopping the spread of the bioweapon. There would be no way to tell if a person is unvaccinated that’s just tinfoil hat crap. You have to have an active COVID infection to have the scents on your body the only thing is unvaccinated people are hundreds of times more likely to be infected but the outcome is the same one has to be actively infected for the dogs to smell them and we can all agree from science that actively infected people should be isolated until clear of the infection. As they have zero right to spread an infectious disease to the rest of uninfected society the Supreme Court’s upheld medical quarantine for over 200 years it’s a plenary power of government.

Seems someone’s brother-in-law got a big contract for nothing.

I’m not so sure. Dogs have many thousands of olfactory cells than humans. They can detect cancer; find people in tragic situations, such as the condo collapse in Florida.

When they find a dead person, they are dejected. When they find someone who is alive, they wag their tails.

The military, police and border patrol use them to sniff out contraband: drugs, guns, even illegal food products (there are certain things that can infect US livestock or crops).

They truly are man’s best friend.

But I am biased. I’ve had dogs all my life.
