Even though I got my "mind right" I still can't accept the notion of pink shorts on network correspondents.

Very often on remote interviews with guests, the guest just puts on a button shirt, jacket and maybe a tie right before going on air. They don’t change their pants or shoes because for the most part the camera is cropped/zoomed to just show the top 1/3 of the person on air.

Dressing only for the part that is seen on camera only solidifies that literally everything these people do is fake and just for show. Proof positive the news is just a tv show and has little to do with reality.
I think a real journalist would be dressed head to toe as a professional and would not allow any part of his or her person to be less than authentic, whether it can be seen by the camera or not.

This is going on bigtime in the corporate world now that ZOOM type virtual meetings have mostly taken over in-person meetings.
I confess to doing this from time to time as when I'm working at home, I like to dress down. I keep a sports jacket in my home office to throw on when I'm doing a client-facing meeting but I might very well be wearing shorts and barefeet down below.
Just another example of the weirdness of the times we live in.

The googleverse kicked me out for wrong think. They never did say why. Just “After violating community standards”
But I really think it was a comment I left saying a man in a dress is still a man. The gaystapo doesn’t like that.

It’s like a Ralph Lauren Polo kind of thing. It looks ridiculous on him, but I assume he thinks he looks faaaaabulous.
