ESPN has been showing Cornhole more than "Get Up" or First Take ever since the Nichols-Taylor brouhaha hit the airwaves...lol.

How convenient.

I'm in the group that will be rooting against American teams this Olympics. They're doing it to promote their personal brands, taking a page from the Dallas Cowboys, who haven't won jack in 25 years.

I hope Japan has success. I loved it when Rui Hachimura was named to hold the country's flag at the opening ceremonies.

Here's a pic of Rui and my grandson in Spokane a few years ago. This picture was the wallpaper on my phone, until my granddaughter burst onto the scene last year. It's all good for my grandson, he's still the only grandson on both sides of the family. Come April, he'll welcome his third female cousin.

The man who should light the flame is Shun Fujimoto, the gymnast who performed with a broken leg in the 1976 Team Gymnastics event, and helped Japan with the Gold Medal. It hurts just to watch him mount that landing.

That is what used to make the Olympics so great.
