With the generous unemployment benefits, there is shortage of workers. I am seeing job opening signs every where.

That depends on the restaurant. Back in the '80s, the sit-down Pizza Hut I worked in had it at just about even. (of course, most of the food was bought through the parent company, but the pricing was generally okay.) The surprise I saw with Pizza Hut was that the cost of paper (boxes, disc inserts, napkins, straws) was actually VERY significant.
