SD9VE with apex trigger kit. 370 bucks total and beats and/or exceeds those others. Get “ cheap” outta your mind. It’s beautifully machined, light and accurate. More machine accuracy than an M&P. Never ever has a failure.... never.
It’s an Oprah, eats everything you feed it.

I am a GLOCK guy usually ccw a 26 +1. I like the new M&P SHIELD because I was able to pick up the older one for $220.

I love my both my 9 and the 380 ez shield. They were great for arthritic hands up until the time they were lost in horrible boating accident.

“They have a trigger safety.”
Which is disengaged when you pull the trigger. Not much of a safety.

"I’m confused. According to the media, all firearms are either a Glock or an AR."
You are correct, this article is just trying to confuse you. Glocks come in many shapes and sizes, so it is easy to mislead people. My favorite Glock is a shiny one that has a cylinder that holds the ammunition and fires 44 Mag.

Why don’t Glocks have safety switches? That would make it harder to shoot yourself in the leg.

“They have a trigger safety.” Which is disengaged when you pull the trigger. Not much of a safety. So, you want your safety engaged when you pull the trigger? They make trigger safety locks for that.

Why don’t Glocks have safety switches?
Might as well ask why they don't have external hammers, decockers, grip safeties, and little key locks.
I'd say its so they will fire when you pull the trigger.

Turkish made Zigana PX9, 9mm, for $290.
Similar to a Springfield XD but w/o the grip or trigger safeties, it came with hard case, holster, 2x15 rd mags and a mag loader.

Angstadt Arms, in an effort to make journalism even easier, has designed AR-style firearms that feed from Glock magazines.
