The Rand Corporation and economists from the University of Southern California have released a new study examining the effectiveness of pandemic lockdowns, using data from 43 countries and all 50 US states.
“We fail to find that shelter-in-place policies saved lives,” the authors report. In the weeks following the implementation of these policies, excess mortality actually increases—even though it had typically been declining before the orders took effect.
And across all countries, the study finds that a one-week increase in the length of stay-at-home policies corresponds with 2.7 more excess deaths per 100,000 people..

"So let me get this straight, "we" develop medical practice standards over a hundred years, making "mistake" after "mistake" along the way to supposedly "progress" as a country/civilization. Then, all of a sudden and out of nowhere, the idiots who think they have the authority to turn America into a dictatorship COMPLETELY violate EVERY single medical practice standard from 100+++ years of painful & deadly experience! Then the new and completely opposite "dictates" from the acknowledged medical procedures are now being called "mistakes"??? Mistakes??? The ONLY possible conclusion to this man (and woman) made catastrophe is that it was intentionally planned and created out of thin air, in what has been the most obvious and clear power grab of government in American and world history bar none. Mistake??? That enrages us REAL scientists beyond belief, so watch your back if YOU dare to call this genocidal attack on humanity a "mistake" because "we" are never going to stop until every single criminal, big and small, are prosecuted and executed for their part in these mass medical malpractice crimes against humanity! Now YOU have a problem that you will NEVER bounce back from! Death to ALL Tyrants~!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
As Sherlock Holmes would say :
” Elementary, my dear Watson “.
Yeah, it was a mistake… ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE.
“We fail to find that shelter-in-place policies saved lives,”
It is impossible to know that.
There was no controlled group, in place or unrestricted.
It’s logical to believe it saved many from the rona.
It’s also logical to believe it has done enormous damage to the economy and society. And was a contributor to many other causes of death.
And this fall/winter if the virus and the various variants cause another surge, will the powers that be pay attention to this study and forbid lockdowns? Not on your life. They enjoy their power over people too much. I’ll prolly be worse than last year. Get ready.
It wasn’t a mistake. It was done to show/test how people would follow what comes from the so-called experts in a given field if it were politicized, even if that public did not trust their government, to make the public bend one way or another.
Combined with advertising tricks and techniques and socialist/communist ideology, the pandemic showed how a free peoples could be turned to communism given the right circumstances. This is still going on.,
Except it wasn’t a mistake. It was biowarfare and it’s ongoing.
There was no controlled group, in place or unrestricted.
It's logical to believe it saved many from the rona.
Wrong on all accounts.
Neither South Dakota, nor Sweden, instituted any lockdowns. South Dakota never came up with a mythical, extra-legal concept if “essential business,” either. All businesses were open.
We have our controls here and across the world, and life and the economy could have gone on perfectly fine, and the ancillary deaths from diseases that went unchecked could have been completely prevented.
they had to pretend to do something while preventing any possible drug therapy to be approved cuz that would have squashed the experimental gene therapy
Don’t you feel my leg....
yup
“...advertising tricks and techniques...”
__________
The rollout of the term “practice social distancing” and other related (and similarly odious) expressions will be written up in every marketing textbook for the next three decades as one of the finest examples of successful stealth Madison Avenue wizardry ever attempted.
DEMOCRATS needed the shelter in place in order to alter the 2020 voting rules. The schemes must been crafted long before the Pandemic hit the United States.
“Neither South Dakota, nor Sweden”
In both people traveled, and in both people CHOSE to “lockdown” and sequester themselves.
The same can be said of lockdown jurisdictions. Many people did not comply.
It was a mixed bag everywhere.
Because basic logic says if a real quarantine is implemented, the spread of any infection stops.
But we know no jurisdiction on earth effected a real quarantine...with some exceptions for the fascist country of China.
“they had to pretend to do something while preventing any possible drug therapy to be approved cuz that would have squashed the experimental gene therapy”
__________
**So** bloody obvious in retrospect it can’t reasonably be denied.
FWIW, it was pretty darned obvious at the time too, for those not in a trance.
Credulous much, M-daddy?
Nope.
The Trumprid19 “pandemic” was no mistake...
“Mistake”. Sure.
“We fail to find that shelter-in-place policies saved lives,” -—It is impossible to know that.....
Maybe impossible to prove, but not to find significant. Control groups are not possible in a pandemic situation.
It’s logical to believe it (the lockdowns) saved many from the rona....
Like in Wuhan where they welded the doors shut and then those inside without natural immunity died from it.
Or in NYC and other places where the infected came home to crowded housing environments, were locked in, and you got Elmhurst.
You should take in some of the study before you fire off an impulsive response.

We failed to find that countries or U.S. states that implemented SIP policies earlier, and in which SIP policies had longer to operate, had lower excess deaths than countries/U.S. states that were slower to implement SIP policies. We also failed to observe differences in excess death trends before and after the implementation of SIP policies based on pre-SIP COVID-19 death rates.....
