Not only does the Constitution grant ZERO authority to criminalize the purchase or possession of weapons, it does the same for all types of property with one original exception, and one added by amendment: Counterfeit currency and human beings (13th Amendment.)
If a general power to criminalize property was intended, there would be no need for the explicit grant of the power to punish counterfeiting.
But of course, the Second Amendment prohibits any impairment (”infringement”) of the right to keep and bear arms. Absolutely ANY restriction of that right semantically qualifies as an “infringement,” if we interpret the language of the Second Amendment as originally intended, and as other clauses of the Constitution that protect individual rights have always been interpreted.

Gun sales will skyrocket, even above the current red hot sales levels we see today. Anything shootable will go up in value, anything. This is both ridiculous and ominous.
