Most state’s voter rolls are a mess. When I would gather petitions it was very common to ask to see the “dead” person when knocking on the doors, quite embarrassing as well.

The reason is simple, there is not a mechanism to remove dead people from voter rolls. When a death certificate is file it should be mandated that it be sent to the county BOE and the BOE should remove the name and keep records and data of these events.

I wonder how many of the hundred thousand recently purged names from the Georgia voter rolls voted in the 2020 election but will now not be able to be found because they’re just disappeared. The propaganda media will claim that Georgia took off names of valid voters There will be no way to prove that these were the names of people who had died, moved out of state, etc.

Many, many years ago, I worked in a bank. There was an employee who came in extra early, about dawn, with the morning newspaper. His job was to read the obits every morning and if an individual who had an account with the bank had died, he would put a “stop” on that account. I can’t see where it would be all that difficult to do as you suggest.
