While Kurt Schlichter points out that this is all you need to know about Critical Race Theory:
Ashleigh-the-Lion Shackleford gives a lecture titled "All White People Are Racist" to some white people. *Paypal Me
I would like to point out that it is also all you need to know about fashion. First of all, let me get this out of the way: this has NOTHING to do with Fat Shaming. In fact, after reading the Lion’s self-description…
Hunter Ashleigh Shackelford (they/she) is a Black fat cultural producer, multidisciplinary artist, nonbinary shapeshifter, and data futurist based in Atlanta, Georgia, with roots in Richmond, Virginia. They are the creator and director of a Southern body liberation organization, Free Figure Revolution, which focuses on decolonizing antiblack body violence. With bylines in Wear Your Voice Magazine, For Harriet, Buzzfeed, and Teen Vogue, Hunter illustrates the relationship between Blackness, fatness, desire, queerness, and popular culture.
I’m not even sure “they” ARE fat.
What I do know is that I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that outfit anywhere in public - let alone holding a seminar which I presume is intended to be taken seriously - and I’m pretty sure I weigh less than half what The Lion does. But since the topic today is fashion I would like to remind everyone that it isn’t what you weigh but rather how you choose to display it that reveals your sense, both fashion and common. Ashleigh The Lion appears to have neither.
And now, since it is Fashion Friday, a brief recap of last week’s fashion from the G7 and visit with the Queen. Here is my favorite Dr. Jilly look from the trip:
…messy fake blonde locks and extensions, tacky bedazzled LOVE jacket, weirdly draped Dalmatian spotted frock
Which draped no better in the coming than in the going…
and Minnie Mouse pumps - accessorized by a semi-sentient elder statesman. It manages to capture the entire Biden Presidency in one photo op.
And here is my least favorite:
It’s hard to pinpoint what I hate most: the flouncy, see-through skirt, the floral turned back cuffs that match the jacket pocket flap linings, the ill-fitted shoulders of the hot pink boucle blazer, the embroidered face diaper, the leg plaster?
All I know for sure is that if there were ever a poster child for why older women should wear their hems below the knee – with stockings – this is it.
Honey-babe: we were not designed to be forever young, I don’t care what Bob Dylan said.

I have never understood the idea of doing without hosiery
The right hose will work wonders for anyone’s legs. Bad or OK legs look a lot better in hose..... great legs look outstanding!!
You’re right though, Jill (and a lot of older women) make the mistake of trying to get themselves up like teenagers.
Just because a thing fits doesn’t mean they ought to wear it. It just makes them look cheesy.
data futurist, decolonizing antiblack body violence, WT the literal F. Straight out of some over-educated university faulty lounge insane asylum mind. This is what U.S. institutions of higher indoctrination are about today.
If I were forced to sit through one of her sessions by my employer they would be looking to fill my position by lunchtime. Employers that are begging to find help better wake up.
Amazing how otherwise intelligent people with vast experience adapt stupid things the youth embrace for the simple reason that they think it will make them appear “younger”.
The no-hose look is just tacky, unless you are wearing a casual dress and sandals to the church picnic.
Maybe we should give her a pass because 1. She is/was a school teacher and they aren’t exactly fashion-forward ... and 2. She’s caregiver for a dementia patient. That’s a tough gig.
I guess they need our prayers more than our fashion tips.
Wow, hard to say which scathing pinpoint from that delicious list I enjoyed best, lol.
With all due respect to anyone besides JB with an Ed. D., certainly doesn't describe anyone shown in those pictures.
But we seem to have been designed to want to be forever young, especially you women.
If she’s a shape-shifter, why did she choose that shape? These people are delusional.
