The other thing that struck me in that photo (aside from her untailored sleeves hanging down over her cringey hands) was her self-conscious posture, with her shoulders raised unnaturally. It is something seen on teenage boys when they are being told off by their angry parent or a drill sergeant.

I could stand to lose a muffin top, as well; but when an official has a high visibility job, you do what you have to do. Karen Pence lost weight and improved her look substantially over her tenure.
