That is really funny
My wife hates Burger King but I was always “I like the char broil taste”. Time to finally agree with the Mrs. and never darken their doorstep again. Sell out to .1 - 2% of the population because they whine loudest? Great business plan.
But you are ok with fudge packing?
A new chicken sandwich. If it’s like the old one then it sucks. You can’t beat chick fil A. Or actually someone on here turned me onto Popeyes. Now that’s a good chicken sandwich but the spicy one is really spicy. And big. But spicy.
Back around 1970, BK used to be very good.
Now, they’re just wretched. But then, so is everybody else.
In this town, the average restaurant never exceeds an F- in any category. The very best restaurants occasionally rise to a D, but you can’t count on it.
I don’t know if it’s this town, or if food in America just sucks now.
I think you are right, most fast food just sucks now.
I choose to rarely eat out now, because of low food quality and high prices. But think about it for a minute. There is a very small margin in restaurant food, so the profit has to come from cutting costs in ingredients. There’s no way around it. So, you get crap ingredients in the food you eat.
Such cynicism!
“There is a very small margin in restaurant food, so the profit has to come from cutting costs in ingredients.”
A long time ago, most of their profits came from drinks. Sell a four-cent coke for a quarter, then another when the customer gets thirsty from the burger and fries.
When they went to bottomless refills, I couldn’t see how they were going to make it.
That proves some folks just get stuck into the compulsion of complaining about anything no matter what the reality is.
Then there is the classic quote:
“The food at that restaurant is just terrible...
and such small portions too!!”
I’m old enough to remember the days when soda refills were an additional charge. Coffee and tea had maybe one free refill.
Also, condiments cost a few extra cents. a pat of butter was like a nickel at cafeterias.
You are absolutely correct.
Another missed opportunity to rebrand the whole thing GQBLT.
: )
>>Another missed opportunity to rebrand the whole thing GQBLT.<<
Send that to Bab Bee. I think they can find a spot for it soon.
The several gay guys I know would never be caught dead eating at Burger King or any fast food. Way too hoity toty.
Those places are managed by and do hire that subculture in at least some towns (probably everywhere). With those *preferential* addictions and drug abuse leaning more towards rave/date rape drugs and even sexual acts and bodily fluids, yes. Extremely unsanitary habits of all kinds go along with it. Not safe places for nice teens to go to for employment. Beware!
Somewhat off topic but what is wrong with a day of rest?
I am more likely to frequent a business that cares about their workers.
1. Popeyes
2 . KFC
3. Chik Fil’a
4. Mc Donalds
5. Jack in the Box
My study is complete; I won’t be trying BK
I’ve often eaten fast food. From the value menu. I don’t expect much when I pay $1.45 for a double cheeseburger. But now they are selling foo-foo burgers for $8 (the LAST time I stopped at McD’s) and Burger Sling has slung itself into Sh!# Creek!
It is one thing to get cheap food cheap, without politics or sexual perversion shoved in your face. Whole different ballgame when they want sit down prices for microwaved mystery meat with a side dish of butt cream.
Have it your way . . .
DANG!
