Let me play contrarian:

If you consider how the Wokesters® are messing everything up, making the board self-perpetuating might be a wise measure ... at least until wokeness passes.

Yes, that pshrink was off the wall, her clinical vision skewed by her ideology. But the board had nothing to do with that.

Really, I'm just guessing. But imagine if Wokesters® ever got control of Yale's zillion dollar endowment.

Although the following sentence makes me think the elections might be rigged:

It is no wonder that Yale doesn’t want to risk having any independent members on its Board of Trustees. There are still quite a few sane alumni, and if they got to vote for a candidate of their choice, you never know what might happen.
