which scientists should we follow?

If you have been vaccinated then your choice has been made.
Now for the future you may get to choose again.
The next generation of Covid-19 vaccines in development could come as a pill or a nasal spray and be easier to store and transport than the current handful of shots that form the backbone of the world-wide vaccination effort. These newer vaccines, from U.S. government labs and companies including Sanofi SA, Altimmune Inc. and Gritstone Oncology Inc., also have the potential to provide longer-lasting immune responses and be more potent against newer and multiple viral variants, possibly helping to head off future pandemics, the companies say.

Fortunately, I took the conservative approach and decided to wait on vaccination until more research comes in.
This is my response to people if asked the question about whether or not I got vaccinated:
“No, I accepted an opportunity to be in the control group and am being well compensated for taking on the very small risk that I will contract Covid and get very sick or die. Statistically-speaking, someone my age and in my condition has about a 5 in 1000 chance of this happening. That is what the scientific data shows.
Since we don’t know what long-term effects the vaccines will have in people, especially the ones using mRNA technology for the first time in humans and especially after such technology has such bad results in animals, it is important we have a sizable enough control group of unvaxxed people with which to come up with statistically-significant results when comparing the two groups. There is no scientific data as yet on longer-term problems that vaxxed people might have. For instance, we don’t know if the vaccine will prime their immune systems to specialize in fighting off the virus at the expense of not being able to ward off all the other usual viruses out there, such as the flu virus and regular corona viruses.
We also don’t know if the spike proteins in the vaccines dissipate or linger and cause long term damage.
Again, it is important that there be people who are not vaccinated so we can tell if there is a difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. If everyone is vaccinated and problems occur, scientists have no way of telling if the problems are due to the vaccine or some new disease they claim has sprung up.”
People don’t have to know that the opportunity to be part of the control group is one I granted to myself and the compensation I am receiving is peace of mind.
