I think the climate is changing.

The climate is ALWAYS changing.

The planet has gone from Snow Ball Earth to Tropical Steam Bath Earth and everything in between.

We can not cause it, we can not stop it.

All we can do is what we have always done.

Adapt.

And throwing away any tool that will help us do that is suicidal.

Yeah, it can change a lot and it’s even gotten to the so-called “doomsday” scenario environmentalists keep warning about.

To wit: in the Cretaceous period, global temps were 10° hotter. The ice caps were completely melted, and we know from fossils there were lush forests and dinosaurs in Antarctica.

Incidentally, the extra heat caused more evaporation, and the extra water vapor in the air meant that there was less extreme temperature fluctuation globally. I’ve not heard too many people talk about that, yet that’s exactly what happened in the Cretaceous.

Indeed. Many cycles in fact. And the north pole was once the south pole, before it became the north pole again. And in between, it was the equator and the poles were tropical paradises.
