I think it’s more likely that lots of people have curtailed their usual routines - including donating blood - over the past year+.
I thought I read a headline a while back that said red cross was not accepting blood from those who had been vaccinated. Take it with a grain of salt as I only saw the headline in passing. Maybe someone else here will remember better than I. Anyway that might explain a shortage if there is one.
Six months ago I mentioned the blood supply and I got royally jeered.
Some blood collection organizations and locations around the US are refusing blood from people who have taken the experimental vaccines.
I just donated two units of red blood cells last night...they never asked about vaccination status, only if I was actually sick or not. American Red Cross...
It’s because of a hoax disseminated by the anti-vaxxer death cult. Check the Red Cross blood site for the truth.
And before they tell the usual lies about that along with the usual name calling and false accusations,...
THE RED CROSS DOESN’T WANT BLOOD FROM THE VACCINATED

Here. If you scroll down, you’ll see that the Red Cross is not taking convalescent plasma donations from anyone, vaccinated or unvaccinated, because there’s no hospital demand. The stuff generally didn’t work.

You’ll also see that the Red Cross is taking blood from people who’ve been vaccinated with vaccines developed in the free world including the U.S.A.
Perhaps all those shootings in Rat controlled cities that defunded the police. Remember with better emergency medical care, for every BLM supporter who gets killed there are probably another 9 getting shot and needing serious blood transfusions.
Yes, I have been hounded too. Then I tried to make appointment and they are all booked for like 2 weeks!
It is weird. They seem to be having reduced capacity to take the blood (maybe Covid related), but instead of increasing their capacity, they are hounding donors.
It has been like this for over a year!
BTW, vaccinated donors are welcome. I have donated, they asked for what vaccine manufacturer.
I just gave yesterday. They asked me if I’d been vaccinated and when I said yes they asked which vaccine. Other than that they did not care.
This shortage has been building for some time because potential donors have been hunkered down I think.
Around here the times they are open limit opportunity to donate. Very little after work hours and no weekends.
