The Department of Homeland Security issued a new security directive for pipeline owners and operators on Thursday after a hack of the Colonial Pipeline disrupted fuel supplies in the southeastern United States for days this month.
Owners and operators of critical pipelines will be required to report confirmed and potential cybersecurity incidents to the department's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and designate a cybersecurity coordinator, to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, DHS said.

Reporting everything to Government will lead to many more hacks
Perhaps pedo joe can just mandate they all be shut down and start filling up rail cars and semi tankers. That’s super efficient. Fookin’ idjits!
How ‘bout “air gap any computerized pipeline controls from the internet?”
These incompetent fools paid the ransom which guarantees future hacks. Utter idiots.
What color was the alert?
DHS is a pointless creation run by pointless politicians.
Back in 2004, I wrote a private note to my self of about 200 ways to get around all of the DHS “mandates” and “security checks”.
10 of them have now been used worldwide including Covid19 (I expected Ebola)
Oh well...we can’t all be morons.
Because there is no financial incentive for companies to invest in security. Beauracrats have all the IT knowledge necessary
There was no hack.
The globalists are will protect America’s pipelines from terrorism by never allowing them to be built.
Cows and horses and barn doors...
Don’t forget the corral. LOL
Report it to the giverment. Yup, that’ll fix everything.

“pipeline controls”
Disabling the controls is only one way of stopping pipeline flow.
What about simply dynamiting a section of the pipe. People must know where the pipeline runs, about 6 feet beneath the ground I’m told.
I heard this on the radio a little while ago. Here’s how I interpreted what they said:
The government’s job is to stop crime. We’re obviously not very good at that, despite spending billions of dollars on the CIA, NSA, and FBI. Since we can’t do what you pay your taxes for us to do, we are going to punish you by making you spend millions of dollars to comply with our regulations. We will hire a few hundred bureaucrats to make sure you’re doing what we tell you, which will cost even more of your tax payer dollars.
Yes, but the acquisition of explosives and their use is more dangerous to the criminal than the hacking the controls.
The government will not pay a quality cyber security expert for the position so it will be essentially a political position.
Thing is it wasn’t the pipeline that was hacked,it was their billing department they didn’t know who to bill so so they stopped deliveries.🤔
