Neat trick. Layout the ballots so that repubs end up where the paper will be folded.

This is similar to what happened with the butterfly ballots in Florida in 2000 with their hole punch way of voting. If someone took a stack of ballots and poked a hole through a vote for Gore, it did nothing to the ballots that meant to voted for Gore but it created an overvote in the ballots that meant to vote for Bush and canceled that vote.

. Now there seems to be a new “adjudicated “way of taking care of problems on ballots. Just determine that there’s a problem on the ballot and scan a new ballot for the Dem.

That’s the reverse of what happened as I understand. The Democrat candidate’s circle was bisected by the fold. The fold was read as a vote. The vote was awarded to the Democrat and the Republican votes (a potential of 4/ballot) were removed as over votes.
