Election auditors Windham, New Hampshire, are saying that some of their latest findings are “large enough to account for discrepancies” in the Nov. 3 election results for four state representative seats.
Auditors said they found “experimental confirmation that if the contest is undervoted, a fold through a vote target can create a vote.”
“Something we strongly suspect at this juncture, based on various evidence, is that in some cases, fold lines are being interpreted by the scanners as valid votes,” Mark Lindeman, who is part of the audit team, told WMUR.
Harri Hursti, another auditor, wrote on Twitter that testing proved folded ballots were misinterpreted by machines.
“Test decks proved that foldings across a vote targets is misinterpreted as additional phantom votes or subtracts votes due to false overvotes,” he wrote in a post.
Auditors finished the hand recount on May 21. The audit began on May 11.
AccuVote didn’t respond to a request for comment about the audit authorization. The AccuVote machines’ intellectual property is owned by Dominion Voting Systems.

We need a full overhaul of electronic voting system beginning with software.
No jurisdiction should be allowed to use proprietary software. If the company calms proprietary software they should be rejected as vendors.
Voting machine software should be available for inspection, before, monitoring during, and after the election.
Voting machine software should be open source by law.

All source code must be public. Any malicious code writers and company owners are to serve a prison stint not less than 3x the duration of the election cycle. Upon release, they’re to be thrown out of the country permanently.
It's beyond comprehension why any jurisdiction would allow software to be off limits.
If the software cannot be inspected it should be rejected.

Why would a ballot have a fold? Because of mailing in? The envelope was regular size to where the ballot itself had to be folded over with creases?
We don’t have these kinds of issues with our voting system here in Kentucky. The ballot is a single sheet - front and back if needed - never folded.
Other states seem to have technologically cumbersome systems.
The old fashioned lever and internal dial were more effective than this nonsense.

I am supposed to believe that a machine that is designed to count mail in ballots has never been tested for accuracy with mail in ballots? The answer is one of the three below.
1. They are lying.
2. Massive incompetence by the designers of the machines that count the ballots. I do not believe this one.
3. Designed ballot fraud via the machines.

Did you know some states print their ballots onsite with desktop printers?
What that means is you can walk out with your blank ballot, photocopy it, scan it at home, make a file you can share with friends.
The upshot is you can come back with any number of ballots you printed at home and filled out.
If you're in a large polling location how difficult would it be to blend into the crowd and cast more than one vote? How difficult would it be to go to different polling places and do the same? How difficult would it be to have your friend do it?
Ballots should be printed on special paper with bar codes or QR codes so they can only be scanned once. The paper should be printed with a water mark, an implanted strip as with our money, embossed, or have a ultra violet dye that can identify fake ballots. Mail in ballots should be printed on a different color paper and have MAIL IN in a different color at the top.
Ballot security is non-existent and no one seems to care.

The state I am in the ballot is folded and put in an envelope and mailed to the person requesting it.
I agree. It a solid QA testing was performed on the machines all kinds of tests should have been performed. Folding ballots is one of them and including the weight of the ballot. If different types of test did not occur, either the company’s QA depart suck or the company is lying or is incompetent.
Folds that only destroy Republican votes. That’s not a bug, that’s a feature.

Absolutely correct. I do not care if it take 3 days to determine the winner.
1. Paper Ballots
2. Both sides count the ballots together.
3. If a ballot is in disagreement it goes to non partisan judges for that individual ballot.
4. Both sides must agree on a panel of non partisan judges.
5. Voter ID. It is that simple.
6. I lived in the UK for years. On occasion I was approached by advocates for both political parties encouraging me to vote for their side. I politely explained I was not a British Citizen and could not vote in a UK election. They said “of course” as they respected election laws. Unfortunately this does not happen here.
