Can anyone recommend a good washing machine?

We’ve been fighting a losing battle with one that is a little over three years old and past warranty. It has a tendency to make spots that look kind of like rust. We’ve had repair people and plumbers try their hands at it. No success.

Find a whirlpool with a mechanical timer. Easy to fix and will last twenty years. You’ll probably have to buy used. Otherwise get a SpeedQueen

Speed Queen.

We have one that is great. We bought it and a couple years later, they messed with a fantastic product and ruined it and lost a lot of business.

They just recently reintroduced it as their “Classic” series.

Go to a used appliance store and get a reconditioned direct drive washer

Classic Kenmore simple 3 cycle machine. Don’t know what they costs but bought one and a dryer about 19 years ago. Both still going strong.

But we also don’t use them alot gor 2 of us.

BTW, Kenmore is actually made by Whirlpool or was in the late 70s when I worked a summer at the Whirlpool factory in Ft. Smith Ark.
