“The message” is that the Biden administration is doing a mostly good job in this matter so far.
1. Cut the legs from under the anti Semites in his own party by announcing Israel has a right to defend itself and refraining from any criticism of them. At the same time they are calling Hamas terrorists and criticizing their rockets.
2. Delaying UNSC debate on it until Monday.
3. Getting out of the way.
Their only error was giving the jihadis money. Every administration in our history has made that mistake, except Trump.
All in all, just barely to the right of moderate.
And maybe that’s by accident, or some internal failure. We’ll know eventually, but so far, so good.
