Remember with Democrats it’s always about power and they will do anything to obtain and keep it.
This evening in Arizona, the Maricopa County Superior Court Judge, Christopher Coury, who oversaw the case related to the Democrats’ challenge to the audit currently going on in the county, recused himself from the case. The reason is that the Democrats shopped around and found an attorney who interned with Judge Coury and hired him. When the new attorney was introduced today for the first time the Judge was forced to resign from the case.

Judge probably is relieved to have an excuse to get out.

So anytime someone is having problems with a judge in a case, they can just hire an attorney who has some connection to the judge and the judge has to immediately resign from the case? Something doesn’t sound right here. (If this is true why didn’t Flynn hire an attorney with a connection to Judge Sullivan?)
Somebody on another thread said that the Veterans Coliseum where the audit is taking place, is owned by the State, and that a County Judge has no jurisdiction. I don’t know about the Judge, but checked, and the Coliseum is owned by the Arizona Exposition and State Fair Board.
Because only ethical judges recuse themselves.

It is standard procedure for an attorney to run a "conflicts check" before accepting a case. I don't believe clerking for a judge is sufficient reason for either the judge or the attorney to recuse themselves. Call me paranoid, but something tells me that this attorney has information on the judge that he attained while clerking. So now, I guess the Dems will get a judge they find more suitable.
