"Still, he says the Stones will "definitely" continue and remain committed to completing their American tour that was postponed by Covid. "Hopefully things will somewhere near normal by the end of the summer, let's hope, anyway," Jagger said."
You don't even want to know...
Everybody gets old.
Steven Wright is my all time fav comedienne - so many great one liners.
“There’s a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.”
“I busted a mirror and got seven years bad luck, but my lawyer thinks he can get me five.”
“Everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.”
“I live on a one-way street that’s also a dead end. I’m not sure how I got there.”
“Experience is something you don’t get until just after you need it.”
“I used to work in a fire hydrant factory. You couldn’t park anywhere near the place.”
“I put instant coffee in a microwave oven and almost went back in time.”
“If at first you don’t succeed, then skydiving definitely isn’t for you.”
“A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.”
“Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.”
“If it’s a penny for your thoughts and you put in your two cents worth, then someone, somewhere is making a penny.”
“When everything is coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.”
“If a man says something in the woods and there are no women there, is he still wrong?”
“I stayed up all night playing poker with tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.”
My all-time favorite.
“I saw a sign at a diner that said, ‘Breakfast Anytime’, so I ordered French Toast during The Renaissance.”
Happened on my 18th birthday.
And Keith’s 38th.
She'll be 82 this year. Not bad for someone who has pretty much spent the past six decades drinking swimming pools full of booze and ingesting massive quantities of every drug known to man.
Saw them in Munich on the European tour in ‘82 — the whole stadium was general admission and Germans may be timely but they were not early to this show. We were front and center.
What a concert!
J. Geils opened — Stones are the greatest band in Rock’n’Roll, but J. Geils put on the greatest show.
Something similar happened at SARSfest here in Toronto to help the city after having dealt with the first Sars outbreak back in 2003. Most agreed AC/DC put on a better show than the Stones. On the plus side the crowd booed Justin Timberlake.
‘Ll check it out.
BTW I think the blonde and the kid are Ron Woods’ wife and kid. I think they’re the same two that appear backstage in the Some Girls concert link I posted elsewhere in the thread.
81 was the first Rolling Stones show I saw, the first of many and was a great one. I thought I was lucky to see an old band from the 60s LOL.
I saw them in the Kingdome in 1981. Greg Kin band opened up, then the J. Giles band, and finally the Stones.
Walking into the dome was surreal. There were several teams of paramedics outside working on people who had partied too hard and couldn’t even make it to the show and a 12 year old girl fell off the 300 level outside ledge.
A guy sitting in front of me was passed out during the first to shows and was puking all over himself. His girlfriend was so embarrassed and pissed. He finally came around with about 4 songs left for the Stones and the first thing he did was kiss his girlfriend.
Good times.

Yeah shouldn't have been mean, Grace did the classiest thing in the 90s, said she was retiring from touring because no one wants to see old rock-n-roller women on stage: "All rock-and-rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire."
Of course the Space Queen is still hawt, so mileage may vary. I think it was because she knew she was rich enough to never sing another note, and she wanted to let herself go, which she did.
I saw the Steel Wheels tour in Alpine Valley WI. Great show.
