A group of Republican senators on Thursday spoke in front of the Supreme Court in opposition to court-packing, a response to legislation Democrats introduced at a press conference last week to do just that.
Sens. Ted Cruz., R-Texas, Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., railed against court-packing as an effort to “rig” the Supreme Court and pleaded with President Biden to buck “crazies” in his party who support the idea.
“Packing the court and tearing down the institutions that protect our rights is fundamentally wrong,” Cruz said. He said the court-packing plan would “destroy judicial independence.”
“They’re trying to rig the game… fix the system,” Cruz said.

Cruz has been accused of “gaslighting” for saying Republicans never tried to “rig the game” by altering the size of the Supreme Court, a response to Democrats introducing legislation to expand the court to 13 judges.
Shortly after Cruz ended his speech a law student tried to have his “gotcha” moment. It did not go well for him.

The Democratic proposal would increase the number of Supreme Court justices from nine to 13. However, the proposal is unlikely to become reality soon since there does not appear to be enough support for it in Congress. And while President Joe Biden established a commission on court reforms earlier this month, he has indicated little support for the proposal in the past, at one point calling it a “bonehead idea.”
confirmation that Biden is a bonehead. Thanks, Joe.
People forget that Ted Cruz was a prodigy at Yale Law.
One of the amendments that a CoS needs to propose is one capping the size of the SCOTUS at 9 justices. Period. Forever. “Court-packing” is a loophole in the Constitution that should not exist.
The kid apparently does not understand what packing the court really means.
If he can’t see the difference between filling vacant seats and adding more, then he has no business in law school, much less college.
The worst of it is, the student’s law professor thinks the student did a good job. The prof is an idiot. There seem to be a lot of those at Georgetown these days.
Harvard.
never assume stupidity when evil is afoot.
he may be stupid but he is working for evil people.
another example of how lefturd loons are too stupid to function

parents of kids who attend his class should be paid their money back
I could have sworn he was a Harvard grad. Regardless, it was a battle of wits and the one party was unarmed.
We need to review history since the left will continue to bring this up. The student faulted Republicans for blocking Obama from filling a seat, in a hurried manner, I might add.
The Democrats sat on their hands and let the issue slide since they expected to save the empty seat for Hillary to fill. They were essentially not worried about letting the vacancy sit until later. They didn’t start complaining about the situation until President Trump won.
Sorry, Harvard! My bad...
Isn’t that how law schools teach nowadays?
If there’s no listed prohibition against it, you must allow it.
The Lefty comments are priceless....LMAO OMFG.
I would not mind ten justices if one had to always act as the 10th man.
look it up if you don’t know what i am referring to
Obviously the student is an idiot but he’s practically imbecilic for posting himself a video that makes himself look like an idiot.
And handled it without getting mad, just sliced and diced the impudent pup. Love it.
