Went to the range with my brother a few weeks ago. We each had our latest handgun. Mine: Kimber K6S DASA 4” Combat. His: Sig P365 with Red Dot.
He had five Failure-to-Load or Failure-to-Fire, my revolver had none. That Slap-Tickle-Twitch stuff got old. Now I would guess that the majority of it was operator error, but not all.
I admit I do have a small pistol, a S&W M&P Shield first generation with the Performance shop porting and white tritium night sights. It has always fired and cycled correctly but my chemo-hand nerves make it lower on my list now but with an IWB Alien Gear holster it is an easy rider.
This is leaning towards bad mag. My mag that came with my 365XL had to be tuned because of jamming issues once I tuned it, no problem.
My preferred carry is usually my S&W Model 60 (.357) with a larger than standard grip. My main alternative is a Ruger EC9 which has worked without problem so far and is a bit easier to conceal. I’d like to try a Sig 365 someday. For home defense, my Beretta 92 is nice pointing, has a long barrel and is reliable. I like DA/SA coming from a revolver background.
