So, masks aren’t effective against dry wall dust???
Or smoke, either. I can tell you that from personal experience.

FWIW: Men with beards and moustaches cannot wear a mask properly - the mask will always leak - in the first image, the man is not even wearing his dust mask properly. Both men are not clean shaven so any cloth mask will not work since there is no seal - air leaks on all sides.
