‘A gaslighting chamber of insanity’: Moderate Republicans seethe at Biden

In the span of a few months, the G-10 has gone from the center of politics in DONALD TRUMP’S Washington to the policy sidelines in President JOE BIDEN’S.

While these senators mostly despised Trump, they were the engine of policymaking for his final Covid relief bill. While they mostly respect Biden, they have so far been irrelevant to his legislative push despite his inaugural promise of “unity.”

It’s been a bewildering change for them. And if you want to understand both why Biden is winning and why his so-far successful formula could be in jeopardy, it’s worth listening closely to the voices within this frustrated and marginalized group of self-proclaimed dealmakers.

“Biden is a horrible villain for us,” said the G-10 staffer, meaning not that he was an actual villain but that he was difficult to villainize. “There are deeply entrenched narratives that have some truth but are no longer totally true. Reporters believe them despite all evidence to the contrary.”

“If you get an invitation to the White House, you go to the White House. But regardless, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t,” said another G-10 staffer. “When you go to the White House meeting you risk being used in a feigned attempt at bipartisanship. If you don’t go then it’s, ‘Oh, Republicans won’t even meet with me.’

“Everything they support is defined as either Covid relief or infrastructure, and everything they oppose is like … Jim Crow voter suppression and evil,” this G-10 aide said. “And you constantly just feel like you’re in this gaslighting chamber of insanity. But it’s working.”

Bwhahahahahahaha

But, but, but we're told that moderates are the wisest among us, that they're the most experienced blah blah blah

Yet they're constantly surprised at what the Democrats do when they're in power, when even a cursory look at history would educate them.

Moderate Republicans are willing fools.

And enough with the John McCain-inspired "gangs!" Gang of 14, Gang of 8, now Gang of 10.

I'm very pleased that these worthless pantywaists (Capito, Cassidy, Collins, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Romney, Rounds, Tillis and Young) are being kicked to the curb by the Democrats. If only the Republicans would!

Your list should include McConnell and Graham.

Biden is closer to where the current crop of pubs wants to be than Trump was.

When they say “Moderate Republicans” that translates in my mind to “Radical Left-Wing RINOs.”

Correct! The only reason they were not Democrats was that the Democrats would not have them. Marco Rubio is a charter member of this club.

They should have studied what happened to Benedict Arnold after the war and he moved to England.

He was despised by the Loyalists.

Traitors are garbage to both sides.

The “moderate” RINOs were the ones who put the Demented Perv Biteme and his illegitimate cop regime in office.

The staffer who lamented the nightmare of it all had a grudging respect for how effectively Biden had played things so far.

“Everything they support is defined as either Covid relief or infrastructure, and everything they oppose is like … Jim Crow voter suppression and evil,” this G-10 aide said. “And you constantly just feel like you’re in this gaslighting chamber of insanity. But it’s working.”

Aside from the weird formatting of the article, notice how Biden is portrayed as the mastermind. Outwitting this group of 10 useful idiots. The reality, we all know, is that there are concealed forces working this situation. Biden is even more of a fool than these "Republican" clowns.

“The “moderate” RINOs were the ones who put the Demented Perv Biteme and his illegitimate cop regime in office.”

Wake the hell up, will you? The GOPee members at every level, from the state legislatures, to the state executive officeholders, to the Congress, to the Senate, to the VP himself, all of them, damn near every effing one of them, enabled The Big Steal that has destroyed any possibility of ever having a legitimate election again and killed the now-defunct USA for all time. And now Trump himself has decided to suck up to the repugnant basterds in the GOPee for another round of perfidy from the GOPee quisling traitors. Yeah, right. That’ll fix this political catastrophe. Yessirree. Good luck with that.

But he’ll have to do that without my vote. Not now, not ever. Never again. I’m done with the whole rotten gang of GOPee skunks. GOPee Delenda Est!

Self fulfilling prophecy.

Thinking the GOPe had any real power without the Media and Tech Oligarch support is a fool's exercise.

Lots of people are still fighting, and not so willing to give up after a setback.

OK, then, you can vote, vote, vote for your beloved GOPee from now until doomsday. But it won’t mean a damn thing, since there will never be another legitimate election ever again in the now-defunct former USA. Face it, accept it, learn to live with it.

The only way forward from the political catastrophe of the fraudulent 2020 election for those who value their liberty and freedom is state-by-state nullification, non-compliance, and secession from the illegitimate tyrannical junta in DC. GOPee Delenda Est!

Moderate Republicans? Read that as establishment RINOs. They are and always have been Democrat assistants. They are gutless pussies. They lack the testicular fortitude to stand up to a senile commie POS. Everything Democrats want can be easily torn apart if people stop worrying about being called a name. Don’t worry about being called a racist, homophobe, transphobe, etc. Make the damn argument against these commie bastards destroying our culture and our nation. If you can’t do that, then resign from office and let someone who will.

Nice straw man. I never complimented the GOPe. They are merely a catspaw of the real enemy. They are a tiny minority of Republicans.

Be happy with your complicity with the Left's plan to destroy the country. You are doing an good job as a defeatist.

You’re the one who sets up the straw man. When I say GOPee, I mean the whole rotten bunch, from top to bottom, from inside and out, every stinking, repugnant one of them. GOPee, as in “Don’t pee down my back and tell me it’s rainin’.” All of them. Every.Single.One. Not some supposed “RINO” minority who supposedly don’t really represent the GOPeeat all, which is total bullschitt. The “RINOs” ARE the GOPee. And I’m not a defeatist. I posted what needs to happen. GOPee Delenda Est!

IOW, Politico is *really concerned* about moderate Republicans. Y'know, so they know who to target for elimination next.
