I hate to remind people but the largest % in the distribution of infections - happens in the home. Actually it is in the home - close contact, enclosed spaces, over some period of time - that most “safety” measures would be scientifically most important to execute, compared to random short contact in open public spaces.

The one measure we did not implement should have been to quarantine OUTSIDE the home for at least 14 days, or longer if symptoms develop. Public and private institutions should have been arranging and supporting quarantine hotel/dormitory facilities, instead of sending positive asymptomatic or mild cases home to infect their families.

A large NY study found 60% of hospitalized Covid19 patients arrived in hospital after obtaining an infection at home, and 20% arrived after obtaining an infection in a health care or nursing home occupation or as patient in such facilities. That’s 80% of the infections had zero to do with all the mass of public “self distancing” and masking measures.
