The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging Americans to put more into better ventilation practices and less into sanitizing objects to stop the spread of COVID-19.
"It is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (fomites), but the risk is generally considered to be low," the CDC said Monday, according to Yahoo News....
In the brief released Monday, the CDC said that people should put less effort into sanitizing surfaces and more effort in preventing the spread through airborne particles.
The CDC said that when a person with the coronavirus has been indoors, the virus can remain in the air particles for hours and that the risk of spread and infection can be reduced by increasing ventilation and limiting people from going into that space for as long as possible...

Today on Tuesday the CDC is making this statement.
Don’t be surprised if they reverse or walk it back by Thursday. It happened last week.
A rational person would view this as further proof that our bureaucrats never had a clue and we are all actors in some dark and twisted theater.

Total Horse Shiite.
You have people wearing the same face diaper throughout the day who touch it all day long dragging whatever germs and viruses they touched on other surfaces or objects on to their faces and masks.
That is how people are in fact getting sick.

Follow the science...even when it changes every week.
You are right.... they will probably walk it back immediately.
I would have more respect for them if they would simply admit that they were wrong with good intentions, but ultimately a savvy bureaucrat will never admit he/she is wrong.
Agreed. The “collection” and “fidgeting” factor for wearing the same face diaper non-stop is WORSE than any measure of protection against an airborne virus like Covid.
That assumes it is even worn correctly.....
Good indoor ventilation along with fresh air and sunshine has long been acknowledged as a way to help the immune system fight off viruses. The problem is that most new (especially commercial) construction believes in keeping the building envelope has tightly sealed as possible for energy savings minimizing how much fresh air is exchanged.
Usual guessing from our scientists, reported as fact by our media (if it’s even accurate to call either “ours”).
I’d still worry about floors- that’s where everything goes and gets on our shoes so we can take it into our house.
But, really, at this point it’s not much point to worrying about anything but people up close spraying in your face.
better ventilation? like breathing through two masks?
Is it too late the get into the air filtration business?
Good. I’m tired of bartenders wiping down the bar with the same old dirty rag they’ve been using for 7 hours. Time to get rid of the “theater”.
In the early phase of the pandemic when we didn’t know much about Covid, we were obsessively washing our hands. But as we learned, Covid is primarily an airborne disease- within months it was in every country in the world. Diseases don’t spread that fast with surface contact. But did this just dawn on the CDC ?
Imagine the money some restaurant could make if they could legitimately claim that not only is their air especially clean, but that is almost like breathing medicine in that they put something in it that makes is oxygen rich and can actually sort of clean one’s lungs.
Like an O3 generator?
Because for every nickel spent on "ventilation", they will get a dollar for pensions, pay raises, and DNC contributions.
You mean like Casinos?
The CDC said that when a person with the coronavirus has been indoors, the virus can remain in the air particles for hours...
But if ventilation affords more protection why do we need masks outdoors?
