Senators Push to End MLB Antitrust Status After League Pulls Georgia All-Star Game
The Epoch Times ^ | April 4, 2021 | Jack Phillips

Several Republican senators joined calls to end Major League Baseball’s (MLB) antitrust exemption after it pulled the 2021 All-Star Game out of Atlanta, Georgia, saying that it was because of the recent voter integrity bill that has been lambasted by other major corporations and Democratic officials.

If I show up at their corporate shareholder meetings and want to speak, you can be damned sure I don’t even get in the door, much less address the overpaid executives, unless I can prove I own shares in the company with ID. Why is it such a burden to insist on ID from someone voting on taxing their fellow citizens, sending young men and women to war, and electing a fraudulent “president” such as Wobbles Biden?

This is for show, don’t see how they pass anything. Republicans don’t have enough votes.

They will do nothing about it, and MLB wants to start a league in China, so they will sell out their mothers for that.

I wonder if MLB got any WuFlu stimulus money from federal taxpayers and, if so, how much...?

The marketplace will punish Major League Baseball. Fewer people will attend games, buy merchandise or watch the product on TV. Soon the the dopey woke Commissioner Manfred will learn there is no honor or generosity among the woke. Soon ESPN and Fox will demand a renegotiation of their contracts as ratings and adverrising revenue drops. Soon there will be no national contracts for baseball during the regular season.

A CEO is judged by his ability to increase revenues and profits. Soon Manfred will learn a hard, career ending lesson.

If people don’t want to come out to the ballpark, nobody’s going to stop them.

Blunt message to any cuckold Freeper’s.....If you choose to watch, listen or attend Major League baseball games, you are complicit in furthering the agenda of those that would spit in your face as they trash your political beliefs.

Trying to make excuses to ease your conscience may make you feel better personally but the rest of us just see you for what you are, a person with no righteous compass and 0 principle or conviction.

Not one public dime should be used to finance and support MLB stadiums, nor should teams have any tax-exempt status. And this action starts in the state legislatures. So MLB wants to expand into politics, then give them what they wish for.

I'm not sure if revoking the anti-trust exemption does any real damage to Major League Baseball anyway. It's not like there's demand to support a second or third professional baseball league.

The SF Giants built their beautiful ballpark with no or little government money. Tickets are expensive. The little guy blows more than $100 for 2 tickets, a hot dog and a beer. Now they want to turn us off even more?

Yes. I ran across a book once which detailed how cities fared after citizens' taxes paid the stadium costs (and highways, overpasses, freeway extensions, destruction of buildings in the way, etc.) to beg for the baseball team to play there. They all lost, most of them bigtime. And the billionaire bosses were happy.

Ones I hate the most, the Illich family (Detroit Tigers and Little Caesar's Pizza). The females are active Emily's List leftists and Hillary Clinton sycophants. 'Nuff said.

How’s about the GOPee should get together to impeach the criminal usurper Jao Bie Din and shut down the tyrannical illegitimate junta in DC? Yeah, right..expecting the GOPee to ever do the right thing is always a pipedream. It’s just not in their DNA. GOPee Delenda Est!

San Francisco. Oooooooooo.
They should subsidize the drug addicted derelicts and illegals to have the high priced tickets and food and drink. They must be bored sitting in luxury hotel rooms with room service meals and deliveries of narcotics.

While most of you reading this are working for a living and paying taxes and sacrificing your own dreams for the Dems to have their new socialist America. Feel good? Me, neither.
