Very good article, but with some slight exaggeration. I live in Massachusetts, and not once during this year of lock downs have I ever worn a mask outside. Nobody has said anything to me. Maybe that does occur elsewhere in Mass, but not where I live.
I wear them inside stores. I put the mask on at the last possible moment before entering and immediately take if off outside. I would say I observe similar behavior in about 30% of the people I see in store parking lots. Some keep their masks on. I don’t say shit to them and they don’t say shit to me.
MA has been depopulating for decades.
Three guesses why.
I’m in northern Illinois and have the same habit about putting masks on at the entrance and removing them at the exit. There are some exceptions when it is really windy and/or cold, just until I get to the car.
