PHOENIX - Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has announced major rollbacks in COVID-19 restrictions for the state after officials announced that three million residents have been vaccinated on March 25.

The announcement transitions the current guidance for business from requirements to recommendations, and businesses will have the "ability to continue requiring masks and social distancing."

His order still allows businesses to enforce mask mandates if they want, but cities, towns and counties must lift theirs.

The idiot finally does something right. Glad he'll be out of office after 2022.

2022. It appears the rats will open their states with that in mind. Issue will be gone. Pretty smart. That Calif. recall can’t come soon enough. Newsome doing a Gary Hartpence? I don’t think so. More proof needed.

Killer Cuomo still requires you buy a Cuomo meatball if you go to the bar for a drink. UGH

Yep, I was just sitting here thinking that Virginia — my state — will be one of the last to come out of the Covid fog. Governor “Coonman” Northam will stay the course as long as possible.

WAY past due, but better than nothing. I’m sure Pima County and Tucson politicians will be screaming with rage.

From the mayor of Prescott Valley Kell Palguta (Trump and 2A supporter):

So what does this mean? It means the service industry such as bars and restaurants do not need to have servers and bartenders wear masks.

Dancing, karaoke, working out in the gym is allowed at any capacity.

Plastic dividers are not required at point of sale locations.

Events of any size are now allowed with no restrictions.

Keep in mind a business can still require the use of a mask for service. The difference is they can not blame a Town or State mandate for doing so.

Let’s all do our part to celebrate an official move by the state to recognize we are going back to normal by shopping locally and being generous to all service industry workers who continued to serve our food and drinks during the past year.

Sounds like he kicked it back to the business owners.

Depends on how many Karens will only go to masks required.

I live in Northeast AZ and have never worn a mask locally. Local businesses have never required them. WalMart turned me away once last spring so I never returned until about six months later when they stopped mandatory compliance. I even went to a high school football game last fall against a rival team. Hundreds of fans in the stands and I saw exactly one mask at the game. Schools opened to in-classroom teaching last fall. There are some incidence of covid in this area, but I wouldn’t say there are any more or any less than those places that lock down.

We have very few Karens here in the Quad City area so virtually no businesses will require a mask mandate. The only exceptions might be Sprouts, Big 5, and Costco due to their corporate edicts. Fry’s, Walmart, Home Depot, and most of the other big box stores don’t enforce theirs here.

I didn’t think it was possible for the Rats to keep the country locked down thru all of 2020. I’m not going to now say it’s impossible for them to keep the country locked down for 3 years, or 5.

I expect Costco to remain full-Nazi for a while, so I guess I’ll keep staying away. I haven’t had to wear a mask in Walmart and a lot of other places, even in Tucson, for months.

I think the stores that continue requiring masks will lose more business from free-breathers than they’ll gain from Karens.

And how many folks like me will tell them to FO and take my money elsewhere....I imagine they will pretty much cave when that happens often enough.
Karens can stay home.

Agreed. Even though Karens are more vociferous and seemingly ubiquitous, there are still more Normals here than there are Karens. In the end, money talks.

I use the stimulus money to over-tip those kids who have to wear that stupid masks all day while serving people who don't wear them.

I wonder if it would be a waste of time for lots of us to communicate with Costco, telling them why we won’t be shopping there. The trouble is, I think, that they’re afraid of being sued if somebody goes to Costco and later happens to get the Chicom Cooties. I’d like to have seen some sort of lawsuit immunity provision in Gov. Deuce’s executive order, but you can’t have everything.
