If they want things equal, then let’s make things equal. Newspapers and online sports websites should be forced to spend as much covering women’s sports as men’s and devote an equal amount of space to both. Attendance at men’s events should be limited to what women’s sports draw.

I watched one period of a game in the NCAA women’s hockey tournament the other night. These were two of the top women’s hockey teams in the country, and I couldn’t believe how awful it looked compared to a men’s hockey game. I think the last team I played with in a men’s 40+ amateur hockey league could have beaten them handily.

A few years ago the U.S. women’s Olympic team played a boys’ high school team. They played using women’s rules. The boys beat them 2-1.
