While the U.S.’ response to the coronavirus pandemic has been met with criticism both domestically and internationally, the U.S. has fared better than Europe when it comes to vaccine distribution.
While Israel decided to buy enough vaccine doses relative to its population and has created an electronic medical-record system and the United Kingdom has also done well in distributing the vaccine, the U.S. is outpacing members of the European Union.
Former President Donald Trump launched Operation Warp Speed (OWS) which has led to three vaccines getting emergency use authorization and more than 44 million Americans being vaccinated. While the U.S. used OWS to secure vaccines, the European Union used its executive branch, European Commission, to negotiate for a bloc of vaccines, according to NPR....
The European Union also spent time trying to ensure vaccine companies could be held liable if the vaccine had unintended side effects or consequences, according to Reuters.
Unlike the European Union, the U.S. bought millions of doses last summer despite not knowing which candidates would be successful and effective. The U.S. has ordered 600 million doses of vaccines as of February.
The European Union ordered their doses approximately four months later, and didn’t manage to secure enough, The Guardian reported....

Interestingly, it appears more Europeans are skeptical about the vax.
Are they more skeptical about government and Big Pharma? A healthy skepticism? (no pun intended)
Thank you, Joe Biden! [/src]
I am 67 years old and work for the USAF so I have had so many vaccines, I can’t count. Took the Pfizer, both shots. No reactions. Anyhow....
But the fact that they are available to those who voluntarily choose to get it is quite frankly remarkable considering the time it "normally" takes to get such things from inside the minds of the scientists to a pharmacy/hospital near you.
And it's all thanks to Trump. Full stop.
Imagine what he could have gotten done for our country had he not been harassed, spied on and subverted by the federal government, all (D)'s, most (R)'s, hollywood and the media!!
I worked as a Hazmat officer for many years and also could not begin to give a count as to how many vaccines that I have had with no problems. But after a couple bad reactions in my family... I would not touch either widely available vaccine from either vendor unless I was compelled to for travel or business. We live in what was the first hotspot in the country and there is basically no way that we have not been exposed on multiple occasions already. That should have developed the immunity that the experimental vaccines provide.
Most of my friends still in Hazmat feel the same way. Most of them took the shot anyway because they were afraid of losing their positions.
Well why is it reported that we are surging again with all the Vacs going on? Is it because the vacs are worthless, as are masks, sanitizing, distancing whatever? I’m say they all are! And the PRCs are just loving it because they have no value of human life!
I have at least a dozen friends and family members in the medical profession who REFUSE to get the vax.
That speaks volumes, IMO.
I’m NOT an anti-vax person by any means, but I am leery.
I feel there is not enough data to KNOW that it is safe.
I’m told the VAERS database is chock full of stories of BAD reactions, not just the standard “sore arm, headache, aching for a day” stories the MSM reports.
I see the anti-vaxxers are tying out a couple of new strategies:
-First one, denying they are anti-vaxxers.
-Second one, recounting how their friends have suffered horrible fates after the vaccines.
My mother was very vibrant and active. She had the 1st moderna shot and has completely lost her mobility. She can't even get out of a chair or bed without assistance. We have been worried for a month now that she is going to die. The news has a complete blackout on that type of reaction.
Thanks for the reply, stay healthy!
I’ll get the vaccine as soon as they say if you do this, you can stop wearing a mask. Until they do that, there’s no incentive to get the vaccine.

There is only one reason to insist everyone vaccinated needs to wear a mask. How will a business know if someone tells them they’ve been vaccinated and don’t have to wear a mask? And, you know for a fact, that people would lie about vaccinations just to avoid wearing a mask.
There is one very big incentive to get the vaccine and that is your peace of mind knowing that you’re essentially ‘bullet proof’ from the vaccine. After taking the vaccines, I don’t have to worry about whether masks are effective, who I meet or whether they’re wearing a mask.
My states mask mandate expires 9 April and Governor MeeMaw has stated that it will not be extended.
I’m glad your mask mandate will expire. Our POS Governor “Coonman” Northam loves the power to keep people in masks and will continue to do so.
Trump admin pushed through Operation Warp Speed.
Thank you President Trump.
3.5 weeks post Moderna vax #2 and feeling good.

The other strategy I’m seeing lately is “My cousin’s friend had the vaccine and she caught covid anyway”

Anything to discourage others from taking the vaccines.
What is amazing to me is how so many people are refusing to ask questions and instead they argue and shut down the people who inquire if a suddenly ill person recently had the vaccine.
My sister is an RN. She says she has had countless patients in the past month with sudden onset of odd symptoms like you just described. Seizures, shaking, loss of mobility, loss of hearing, sudden slurred speech. She says the first thing she does is look at their charts and there it is “Covid vax within the 2 weeks” before onset of symptoms.
Family friends of ours - man is almost 90, but has always been a diet and exercise fanatic. I have not seen or heard of him eating ANY pork or beef in the entire 27 years I’ve known him. He does yoga several times a week. He had his second vax several weeks ago. Suddenly had multiple strokes over the past few weeks. Is now in hospice.
Yes, it could all be coincidental. But everyone I know has at least one story like this to tell.
Social media and the propaganda machine is powerful.
People simply need to research and ask questions.
Remember, the first H1N1 vaccines killed several people.
The very first polio vaccines killed people too.
Drug companies LIE.
Remember Thalidomide?
Vioxx, anyone?
Darvocet?
“Anything to discourage others from taking the vaccines.”
How about
“Anything to ENCOURAGE others to make a better informed decision before getting a shot.”
And no, I am definitely not an anti-vaxer. I have gotten the flu shot several times, a tetanus vax in the past 5 years, etc, and I very well may get the covid shot in the end.
My hesitation stems from the government trying to FORCE it on us and with each passing day, their language seems to indicate that strong persuasion followed by coercion is coming.

It seems strange that your hesitation to do something that you know you should do would stem from the government encouraging you to do it.
