Still outraged by Fox News host Tucker Carlson contrasting of China’s push for a “more masculine” military against the U.S. military’s focus on inclusivity for women, an official Marine Corps account and other military officials attacked Carlson throughout the weekend.
The controversy comes as a previously classified war game conducted by the Air Force shows the U.S. losing a military to conflict to China.

The reality is that we can spend as much as we want on the US military and it wont help with defeating China. Our military will never fight China. They aren’t fighters anymore. By the time China takes Taiwan our military will just stand by and let it happen. Our military is just an arm of the CIA. They have lots of expensive toys. But they would never really use them.
Probably good that the only thing China wants from the US is a marketplace.
But it is far better to lose with a military that includes men who think they’re women, has provisions for pregnancy flight suits, and will stand down to combat white supremacy than to win with a military that “isn’t who we are”. /s
Wonder if Taiwan has come to the realization that they are far better off aligning with Japan and Russia rather than the United States if they wish to remain independent. China has long term goals. After taking Taiwan, the underpopulated , mineral rich Pacific regions of Russia and Siberia are next on their coveted list, then revenge on Japan. The South China sea probes are just a political and diplomatic feint. China does not really believe that the US can or will intervene against them when they execute their plans. The Biden Administration is convincing them that they are correct.
China won't fight the US, they don't have to. They know the politicians will hand the US to China on a silver platter.
I might anger some people on here but lets just be honest we are screwed if we get into a full convential war with China and Russia as we are now, now convinced we are like Rome and we are declining.

Do Americans realize that there are something like 300,000 Chinese college and graduate students in the USA and that our agency charged with making sure they are not spies and sabateurs very likely has very, very agents assigned to watch them.

The problem the Trump administration had with the alphabet special people is they could not be deployed. They mostly had serious medical requirements that, if similar requirements were laid on non special people, they would be medically separated from the service. (At least, that was the publicly presented reason.) So, you probably won’t find any special alphabet people anywhere near the front lines.
As for losing the war games, the US has global superiority. But the Chinese have local superiority. The US navy has roughly 400 ships and those ships are very powerful. But, they are deployed around the entire world. The Chinese have about as many ships, but most can’t sail more than 1,000 miles from port. That doesn’t mean they aren’t capable. They are not intended to control the world. They are specific to controlling their coastline and taking Taiwan. Those ships and the air force backstopping them from land mean that likely only US subs can get close enough to China to do any damage.
The US has bases nearby, but if those bases get used they are well within striking distance of China. Getting hit on those bases will cause problems with our host countries who will likely want to avoid being drawn into any conflict because doing so may cause the regimes running them to lose the next election. I am sure the average Japanese citizen, for example, doesn’t give a rat’s sphincter whether Taiwan is part of China or not if it involves getting hit be Chinese bombs.
The way to win a war with a nuclear power is not to fight one in the first place. That’s why Trump’s approach of playing the bull in the China shop was best. His *apparent* volatility made the Chinese afraid. But having photos of the president’s son accepting bribes and having sex and doing drugs probably gives the Chinese the feeling they can walk all over Biden with impunity. Likely, the Chinese also “own” several other key people in the Biden administration. Thus, having Biden in office almost guarantees an attack on Taiwan. (Taiwan, you are on your own. Lots of luck.)

as well as recruiting nightmares...
unless the mid-ranks of officers and enlisted rise up in strong criticism of the panty-waist military leadership — now with BETA-males and women (the women are firmly in charge)…
