“Eat dirt!” is a phrase I remember well. It was in the title of an article published by Harvard University environmental health professor, Dr. Scott T. Weiss, and it captured my attention while I was learning about an immunological concept known as the “hygiene hypothesis.”
The core of the idea is that we live in a microbial world: an environment full of bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi. And that our interactions with these microbes after birth are extremely important to educate our immune systems to function properly. When we are born, our immune systems are still maturing.
I like the way researchers led by microbiologist Sally F. Bloomfield expressed it in their study:
“The immune system is a learning device, and at birth it resembles a computer with hardware and software but few data. Additional data must be supplied during the first years of life, through contact with micro-organisms from other humans and the natural environment.”
The immune system has many potent mechanisms for killing pathogens. It needs to be carefully regulated to ensure it can eliminate dangerous microbes from the body without causing excessive harm to our own tissues. The interactions we have with our environment early in life are essential for our immune systems to learn to differentiate between safe and dangerous disease-causing microbes....

Sad to say, but it was Trump who provided Fauci his super-human Scientific bonifides at those idiotic covid pressers! He was falling all over himself praising the credentials of Fauci and Birx! It also didn’t help having him refer to covid as the “Deadly Plague” day after day!
Trump did his part in creating this nightmare we’re currently living. I’m growing weary of people acting as if he was a innocent bystander in the response to this covid fraud!
Well if they get the pfizer/moderna vaccines, they may very well end up with autoimmune diseases. Thats what a number of molecular geneticists are concerned about.
These two vaccines are “experimental status” after all. You are an unpaid guinea pig who instead pays them to be their long term test subject. If you have problems no one will care or give two craps you’re damaged or dead. Anyone who loves you and knows you’re dead from the vaccine will be silenced, derided and dismissed, like the people here have done so to anyone not in lock step with the “science” they believe.
I remember a couple of doctors got banned from YouTube for saying the same thing.

Home school kids are missing out on the school environment full of bacteria, parasites, viruses, left leaning education and fungi.
I have been saying exactly this to my liberal friend who has basically kept his kid living in a bubble for a year now. No school, no friends, only grandma and grandpa, for a 9 year old who was already a wee bit of an awkward loner without a strong constitution. I think that poor kid will have permanent ramifications, socially, psychologically, emotionally, and physically. Plus his already slightly underdeveloped immune system just lost a year

BS flag. Homeschooled both kids, who spent more time outside in more places that any kid jailed in school. Interacted with a far wider variety of children and adults in many more contexts. Daughter 1st homeschooler in Maryland to win NOrthrup Grumman’s Engineering Scholarship, and we’re from the most competitive county in the state. (She won over a private schooled and public school friends.) Sorry - mom bragging rights.
My kids were among the healthiest. Daughter is homeschooling her three kids Her 6-year old LOVES Tolkien and has a keener grasp of literature than most of the high school seniors I taught.
Son, also outrageously healthy, now earns close to six digits at the age of 28.
Homeschoolers will be the healthy salvation of this nation.

They are missing out on the left wing education too.
We should be encouraging parents to home school and public school teachers to strike for that reason.
The article makes public school sound like a good thing for the child’s heath.
A child can get expose to the bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi by getting out in the neighborhood. We do not need the public schools for this.
That’s why dot Indians did well with Covid-19.
Live in absolute filth, get immune to a lot of junk.
