No, no sarcasm tag needed. This post just proves what many (most?) of us suspected/deduced/knew all along. Covid was never a “real” pandemic, just a political tool.
Covid cases started rising in November, then started falling in January. They did not rise and "magically drop". The same happened during the winter of 1918 with the Spanish Flu. Deaths started rising in October, then started dropping in December reaching a low in January (1918 Spanish flu waves).

I’ve posted this before, but anecdotally, immediately after January 6th the local talk radio news station started reporting the number of Covid “recoveries”.
Up until that date, the local talk radio news station only reported the number of infections/deaths.
There is way too much politicalization of this virus to ever just accept whatever the “scientists” tell you.

Cases peaked on January 8th while Trump was president.

You make no mention of herd (vaccines + infections + T-cell immunity) in your post.
Recoveries have been declared every single day since mid-March 2020.
And unless "scientists" are operating your local radio station, I'd say the problem is at the station, not with scientists.
Right after Biden got out then they changed the number of cycles on the test. This means many fewer false positives. They intentionally changed from 40 cycles to something much less.

The point of my post was seasonal spikes, declines, and variation in them happen regardless. Vaccinations, herd immunity, or the latest research does not change that.
Yes, of course there are seasonal spikes.
Although most of the decrease we are seeing now is likely the result of herd immunity.

PCR positive is no longer = Covid. You are not Covid now unless you get a second test to confirm it, and are presenting clinical symptoms.
End result - far fewer “cases”.
