I’m not an anti vaxxer. I am forced by my employer to take the flu shot each year. I had my share of vaccinations in the Navy.

But this is different. This is what I see:
The vaccine was rushed. It strains credibility to think corners were not cut.

If I take the vaccine, it will protect me for 3 months to 4 years, or not at all, no one can be certain.

If I take the vaccine I must still mask up, and distance.

I made it this far, and the cases are dwindling, I can’t see a logical reason why I should take the vaccine.

The masks are causing more sickness than Covid is....

and when you DO get sick from wearing masks, they will blame it on a new strain, and call for a new series of boosters.

Well, I’m an ‘anti-vaxxer’ (the stuff aimed at new borns like the 6-month MMR) but I’m pro-Covid vax. At least the first shot of the Pfizer-type. IMO the 2nd shot has good potential for Lupus-like organ damage after encountering Covid. This is why I skipped the 2nd shot. Fairly confident time will bear me out on this.

“If I take the vaccine I must still mask up, and distance.”

That’s because the “vaccine” is leaky. It does not confer sterilizing immunity because vaccination does not prevent infection with the virus. Infection of the host and the transmission of the virus are not inhibited by the vaccine.

Look up Mareks disease in poultry for an analogy. Pay attention to Prevention.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marek%27s_disease

“Under normal conditions, highly virulent strains of the virus are not selected. A highly virulent strain would kill the host before the virus would have an opportunity to transmit to other potential hosts and replicate. Thus, less virulent strains are selected. These strains are virulent enough to induce symptoms but not enough to kill the host, allowing further transmission. However, the leaky vaccine changes this evolutionary pressure and permits the evolution of highly virulent strains.[12] The vaccine’s inability to prevent infection and transmission allows the spread of highly virulent strains among vaccinated chickens. The fitness of the more virulent strains are increased by the vaccine.

You make some excellent points in post #2.

I am in perfect health, I take vitamin D, go outside everyday and have been living my life for the past year as normally as possible. I go to Manhattan at least once a week for work (and will be back there tomorrow). I've been to DC, to Florida, to Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, all through this pandemic. I've stayed in hotels, I've eaten at restaurants frequently. I only mask when compelled to by the business establishment I am in.

I have no desire for this vaccine whatsoever. Nor do I have a need for one.

I agree.

I’m NOT anti-Vax and have argued with FRers who are.

This is too fast, and not simply from cutting out bureaucrats. No good biological research can happen that fast.

I HAVE had COVID, so I am concerned extra as I’ve heard some concern with that situation.

The ROI for this just isn’t there. Cost vs benefit.

This entire hysteria doesn’t meet the ROI if you ask me.
