Former President Barack Obama believes reparations are “justified” and suggests one of the reasons he couldn’t get it through during his tenure was due to “white resentment.”
Obama made the racially divisive remarks during a podcast with musician Bruce Springsteen.

“There’s not much question that the wealth of this country, the power of this country was built in significant part, not exclusively, maybe not even the majority of it, but a large portion of it was built on the backs of slaves,” he added.

The whole structure of “reparations” and “anti-racism” is built upon sand.
It depends on people accepting the preposition that they have sinned against blacks, and thus must atone.
It collapses when people say to them “I no longer care that you are unhappy and upset. I will live my own life, and support the people I love. I do not love YOU.”
No dude I know...does that.
Hussein did that...
His "wife" is a dude....named Mike.
People got killed and died to protect that Obamanation...
As I have always said, as soon as I get mine for my ancestors being indentured servants under England, and slaves under vikings and romans!
Slaves allowed their slave holders to live an aristocratic lifestyle. All that was built by slaves, was destroyed in the civil war.
I think it was Milton Friedman who detailed exactly how un-capitalistic slavery held back the south economically and it explains why there were so far behind in every measure when the war started. Miles of rail, weapons production, GDP, etc.
The south didn’t grow rich under slavery. A few planters did, but most people black and while lived in grinding poverty. And slavery was a big reason.
So maybe they were part of what built this country. But where is the consideration for all the mostly white soldiers that saved this country and made possible the freedoms everyone enjoys now. How about reparations for those who defended and/or gave their lives for all Americans today?
Slaves were not the only ones that contributed to the country.
America was built on the backs of everybody.

We never owned anyone.
Seems the only slaves in the US were African. And if you buy that, you are the slave to your own lack of education.
In fact, more Irish were sold as slaves to the American colonies from 1651 to 1660 than the total
existing “free” population of the Americas!

Then there’s the Chinese people. After slavery was abolished in the United States, Chinese laborers were imported to the South as cheap labor to replace freed Blacks on the plantations. Many of the early Chinese laborers came from sugar plantations in Cuba and after the transcontinental railroad was completed, California also contributed to the labor supply. These laborers formed communities in the pockets of the Southeastern part of the United States, encountering racist policies and crossing paths with the African American community.
And then the American Indian: Some Native American tribes held war captives as slaves prior to and during European colonization. Some Native Americans were captured and sold by others into slavery to Europeans, while others were captured and sold by Europeans themselves.
The European trade in American Indians was initiated by Columbus in 1493. Needing money to pay for his New World expeditions, he shipped Indians to Spain, where there already existed slave markets dealing in the buying and selling of Africans. Within a few decades, the Spanish expanded the slave trade in American Indians from the island of Hispaniola to Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas.

Slavery isn’t “owned” by black Americans. They shouldn’t be allowed to lease it back to people that had nothing to do with it. It does no good to perpetuate slavery whether it is one by the ancestors of those that were or the new slaves that are expected to give up what they earn to those that never felt the issue.

They are gearing up for the big push. Last year’s violent riots were to weaken our defenses. Painting “BLM” on streets was to force us to accept a violent separatist group as legitimate.
It will start shortly after Covid fades from the public consciousness. And they will constantly remind us that non-Whitey was “disproportionately affected” by Covid, and therefore Whitey must hand over all his earnings to indolent non-Whitey, who will continue to blame his failures on Whitey.
His white half is Communist too. The Dunhams were avowed Communists.
Figure out what reparations should be then deduct any welfare payments made to any member of their family and let them pay back the difference on a low interest monthly payment.
Why the hell didn’t the country give them the damn 4 acres and a cow. Had they done that, we’d not hear this nonsense.
Aide to Obama: “Sir, our figures show one of the reparations tax proposals would cost you and Michelle $79 million this year, based on your earnings and confiscation from investment and bank accounts.”
Obama: “Whoa! Carry me back to OLD Virginny! Scrap that stuff. Can’t we make it from whites only?”
Give every black person a million bucks, 90% of that money will be spent and back to the pockets it came from in a year. Of course then reparations 2 will be on the table. See lottery winners
Since this is OTrauma’s third term, expect this to pass and become law.
Actually, if they wanna play the reparations game, it is black people that owe everybody else reparations.
Blacks destroyed US cities with the 1960s riots—not just the physical damage, but the long term economic damage which remains to this day.
I will accept Obozo’s Martha’s Vineyard estate as my reparations.
